Value of Human Life Prayer VIX

Luke 13:10-17 NIV

Jesus Heals a Crippled Woman on the Sabbath

10 On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, 11 and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. 12 When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” 13 Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God.

14 Indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, the synagogue leader said to the people, “There are six days for work. So come and be healed on those days, not on the Sabbath.”

15 The Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each of you on the Sabbath untie your ox or donkey from the stall and lead it out to give it water? 16 Then should not this woman, a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what bound her?”

17 When he said this, all his opponents were humiliated, but the people were delighted with all the wonderful things he was doing.

Lord Jesus, You put inestimable value on human life. You saw the woman who was bent double for many years because of a sickness caused by a spirit and You initiated interaction with her and healed her.  To You, her life was so important that even if You had to break protocol or be criticized, it didn’t matter. Lord, enable me to follow Your example of courage and compassion. Open my eyes to the value of each person, remembering that each one is never beyond help in Your encompassing love. And then stir me up to action that will give honor to Your name, Amen.

Do Not Worry – Prayer VIII

22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.

Luke 12:22-23 (NIV)

Father, there are times when I worry about a lot of things, forgetting the promise that You will always provide for Your children and take care of us. Lord, if You feed every sparrow and clothe the lilies beautifully, how much more will You care for us, the very people whom You sacrificed for so that we may have life?

Help me to keep this truth in my heart and call it to mind whenever the temptation to worry comes. For You are a big God against whom all my problems become small.

Trust Without Borders

Trust without borders

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

Ok. Let us talk about faith today. From 1-10, how are you going to rate your self ? How strong is your faith in God?

Faith is belief that is not based on proof. It can also be defined as confidence or trust in a person, thing, deity, view, or in the doctrines or teachings of a religion, as well as confidence based on some degree of warrant. The word faith is often used as a synonym forhopetrust, or belief. – Wikepedia

And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. – Hebrews 11:6

Matthew 14:22-33 , it is a story about Jesus walks on water. After feeding the 5000, Jesus sends his disciples ahead of him in a boat to cross the Sea of Galilee. Several hours later in the night, the disciples encounter a storm. Jesus comes to them, walking on the water. This terrifies the disciples who think they are seeing a ghost. Jesus tells them in verse 27, “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”. Peter replies, “Lord, if it’s you, tell me to come to you on the water.” So Jesus invites Peter to come. Peter gets out of the boat and begins walking on the water toward Jesus. But when Peter takes his eyes off Jesus and sees the wind and waves, he begins to sink. Peter cries out to the Lord and Jesus immediately reaches out his hand and catches Peter. As they climb into the boat together, the storm ceases. Then the disciples worship Jesus, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

Let us focus on Peter. When Jesus told them that it was Him, Peter got excited and asked Jesus if he can also walk into the water. Peter start with good intention.  His trust in Jesus is there. But what happened next? Peter starts looking around, to his left, to his right and saw those big waves. Fear get into his nerve then he begins to sink.

In situations in our lives, sometimes we are like Peter. At the start, we are full of confidence, full of trust to Jesus, knowing that He is there. But when we start taking off our eyes from Jesus, and focusing on the difficult circumstances (giant waves ) we are loosing our trust, our faith. Our faith are becoming weaker and weaker and we will begin to sink.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; – Hebrews 12:2  KJV

Christ is the Author and Finisher of our faith. The word “Author” is the Greek word  “archegon”. It means “one responsible for commencement; originator, pioneer, example, leader, prince or captain.” This word is used in Hebrews 2:10 and is translated “captain of our salvation.”

In the Roman games, the runners would keep their eyes on the judge. The judge could be at both the starting line and finishing line if it was a circular race. The judge could be at the finish line if it was a straight race. Whatever, they kept their eyes on the judge.

While running the race for the Lord Jesus Christ, our eyes should be on our path and the finish. Looking behind hurts your race because it breaks your stride, and you could stumble and fall. We are to keep looking forward for Christ.

Christ is not only the Author of our Faith, He is the Finisher of our Faith. The word “finisher” is the Greek word “teleioten”. It means “perfecter, clincher, goal, crown, completer, the icing.”

Christ is the goal of our faith.

Philippians 3:14— I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

STOP LOOKING TO YOUR RIGHT, TO YOUR LEFT. STOP LOOKING AROUND.

KEEP MOVING FORWARD AND FIX OUR EYES TO OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST!

Hebrews 11:1 which says, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  Faith will keep us in a trusting relationship with God, even in the midst of our troubled situations.

So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Never Feel Defeated

PSALM 118:6

We all have difficulties in our lives from time to time. Times  when dealing with people or situations get us down.  Sometimes those difficulties even seem to overwhelm us to the point, that we feel there is nothing that we can do about it!

Now when that happens remember that it is written; I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME. ( PHILIPPIANS 4:13 )  So the next time that you are faced with something that seems difficult to you, why not ask for God’s help?  After all it is written; FOR WITH GOD NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE. ( LUKE 1:37 ) Therefore remember that with God’s Help Noah built the Ark, while professional men built the Titanic!

Never feel defeated when you have the awesome power of God on your side.  For your difficulties, no matter how large, cannot compete with the awesome power of the Lord! So face those problems with confidence knowing that God will help you.  Amen.

God is in Control

LIFT YOUR EYES AND LOOK TO THE HEAVENS:
WHO CREATED ALL THESE? HE WHO BRINGS
OUT THE STARRY HOST ONE BY ONE,AND CALLS
THEM EACH BY NAME.  BECAUSE OF HIS
GREAT POWER AND MIGHTY STRENGTH, NOT
ONE OF THEM IS MISSING. Isaiah 40:26

What are your situation right now? Are you in a situation that battling your self on deciding who will control of our lives, you or GOD.

The number one reason you’re under stress is because you’re in conflict with God. You’re trying to control things that only God can control. You can’t control your husband or your kids or your wife or your job or your future or your past or any of that stuff. The more you do it, the more you’re trying to play God, and that puts you in opposition to God. Not only are you going to lose that conflict, but you’re also going to be tired.

I know, I may sound cliched, but amongst the messes of life where it seems as if everything has gone wrong, God is in control.

When the events of this World cause you to be concerned, remember that our Heavenly Father is in Control!  For; THE LORD REIGNS, LET THE EARTH REJOICE; LET THE MULTITUDE OF ISLES BE GLAD ( Psalms 97:1 )

Indeed, let the Earth rejoice for time is unfolding just as it was written!  So do not be stressed about today or the future,
for you are God’s Child and He will always be with you!  For; THE ETERNAL GOD IS YOUR REFUGE AND UNDERNEATH
ARE THE EVERLASTING ARMS.  ( Deuteronomy 33:27 )

After all, WHO IS GOD, EXCEPT THE LORD AND WHO IS A ROCK, EXCEPT OUR GOD?    ( Psalms 18:31 )

The next time you become worried about the future of this World, remember these words! The Lord reigns,
let the earth rejoice.  Yes, let us rejoice indeed!

Yesterday, Today, Forever God is in Control

Revelation 1:4-8

Follow God’s Direction and Receive His Promises

“Follow all the directions the Lord has given you. Then life will go well for you…” Deuteronomy 5:33

Q: How to know the directions that the Lord has given to us?
And how to receive His promises?

Follow God’s Direction

imagesMost of the time, we are making decision out of our emotions, impressions, or other pressure-packed forces that influence us. There are several attributes that contribute to poor decisions that blinding our emotions. Sometimes, overconfidence, procrastination, immediate gratification. Many individuals place great emphasis on another’s advice that validates their preferred choice. This only reinforces what could be a bad decision.

So, how do you make a solid, reliable decision without these kinds of negative influences? What is the missing component that would provide a sound basis for your decisions? The answer is found in the pages of Scripture. It is called WISDOM.

God’s Divine Direction

Wisdom might be defined today as “knowledge, the ability to discern inner qualities and relationships, insight, and judgment.” Biblical wisdom, however, was described by the Hebrew word chakmah. It was more than common sense and was characterized by skill and craftsmanship, cleverness and cunning, and prudence in everyday matters. Wisdom graced the lives of many biblical figures—Daniel, Ezra, Joshua—and brought them great success.

ClearerDirectionFromGod

How do you find wisdom today? Where do you go to have your problems solved and questions answered? The answer is to go to the source of all wisdom, God Himself. He is the one who created you—He has placed His gifts and callings within you and understands their worth. Certainly, He is a good steward of His gifts and will develop them to their maturity.

God is also the one who understands your past and future—He has intrinsic knowledge of your weaknesses and strengths. The Lord will protect you, yet challenge you to grow in your Christian walk.

Finally, God will lead you along a path that will fulfill His plans for your life. He is the one who knows the direction you are to follow and will lead accordingly.

So, how do you begin? Here are five basic steps for receiving wisdom from God.

  1. Acknowledge that God has the answer. God is the source of wisdom for all things. Realize that He not only has the answer, He is the answer. Proverbs 2:6 and 9 states, “For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding… Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path.”
  2. Pray and ask for God’s wisdom. How can you be sure God will answer when you ask Him? James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him.” So simply ask for
    God’s help and then…
  3. Believe He will guide you.Faith is an important component to accepting God’s wisdom. You must recognize the fact that God wants to communicate with you. Proverbs 4:18 says, “The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.” God’s direction in your decision will become clearer and more distinct as you continue to pray and ask for His help.
  4.  Get in motion. You have probably heard the saying “It is hard to steer a parked car.” Begin to do your part and research your vocational options. Travel with your family and investigate the prospective area first hand. Explore the housing market, recreational opportunities, and cost of living. Your move could be a blessing in disguise, allowing your family greater financial freedom.
  5. Check your decision against God’s Word. James 3:15-17 provides the characteristics of true godly wisdom: “But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.” Have the courage to ask yourself whether your choice meets these qualifications for God’s wisdom, or whether there are still any outside influences directing your path.If you sense any anxiety or confusion, keep praying. God’s wisdom will direct your paths in a peaceful manner.

God is the source of all wisdom. Only He views your life from an eternal and comprehensive perspective. Allow Him to become part of your decision–making process and guarantee yourself a lifetime of success.

To Receive God’s Promises

ClearerDirectionFromGod

Read Matt. 8:5-13

In Matt 8:5-13 tells about the faith of the centurion. When Jesus heard what the centurion said to Him, He was amazed! He said that He haven’t found anyone in Israel with such great faith. Why, because faith and obedience are interlock. When you trust someone, you do what they say. If you don’t do what someone tells you to do, it means you don’t trust him. God has link FAITH and OBEDIENCE together. So that all of the promises of God are condition upon  you following all the directions that He Gives you.

What God Promises if we Obey HIM

“God blesses those who obey Him.”  Prov. 16:20 (LB)

OTHER PROMISES

Prov. 19:23 (GN), Prov. 10:27 (GN), Ps. 25:14 (GN),  Ps. 128:1 (GN), Ps. 106:3 (GN),

Luke 11:28 (NIV), Ps. 111:10 (NLT), John 15:7 (LB)

How to receive God’s Promises

1. OBEY GOD IMMEDIATELY

“I will quickly obey Your commands.”  Ps. 119:32 (NCV)

“Without delay I hurry to obey Your commands.”  Ps. 119:60 (GN)

Whether you feel it or not, whether you understand it or not. You have to do it immediately.

You don’t have to understand something to benefit from it. You don’t understand how the big plane fly but you fly all the time. You don’t understand how the computer works, but your using it now, for Facebook, for e-mails.You don’t need to understand how those things work to experience the benefit of from it.

You don’t have to understand God’s commands in order to obey Him and benefit from them.

Every parents knows that when we tell to our children to do something, our child will ask us why they need to do that. And we will simply say, “because I said so”. Behind that 4 words, you are actually say, “because your little pea brain are not big enough to understand it. And one day you will understand real reality. But right now trust me .I know better than you do.”

And God sometimes telling us to do something and we will ask Him why and He will also simply answer us, “because I said so”.

…only immature people go by their feelings, mature people do the right thing inspite of their feelings. Your very emotionally immature if you live by your feelings.
Obey God immediately inspite of what you feel.
When you are delaying obedience, surely you are questioning God.
Delayed obedience is disobedience

2. OBEY GOD COMPLETELY

“Lord, You gave Your orders to be obeyed completely.”  Ps. 119:4 (NCV)

  1. God standard of right and wrong has never change
  2. God has a bigger perspective than us

“…  Your job is not to decide whether God’s law is right or wrong, but to obey it.”

James 4:11c (LB)
God care’s about details.

Trust God

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own.”  Prov. 3:5 (Mes)

3. OBEY GOD JOYFULLY

“Obey Him gladly.”  Ps. 100:2b(LB)

“I enjoy obeying Your commands.”  Ps. 119:16 (NCV)

“I find pleasure in obeying Your commands…”  Ps. 119:47 (GN)

3 reasons:

1. Because  I have fewer problems in life if I obey God

2. I know I will be rewarded from heaven

3. Because I love God

“Loving God means doing what He tells us to do…”  1 John 5:3 (LB)
God measures our love by our obedience. Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments”

4. OBEY GOD CONTINUALLY

“I am determined to obey You until I die.”  Ps. 119:112 (LB)

“Just tell me what to do and I will do it, Lord.  As long as I live I’ll wholeheartedly obey.”  Ps. 119:33 (LB)

“We must be sure to obey the truth we have learned already.”  Phil. 3:16 (NLT)

“Not all people who sound religious are really godly.  They may refer to Me as ‘Lord,’ but they still won’t enter heaven.  The decisive issue is whether they obey My Father.”

Matt. 7:21 (NLT)
