Luke 10:17-20 (NIV)
17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”
18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
“Lord, You commanded us to go and make disciples to all the nations. Yet, we cannot make disciples unless we are a disciple of ourselves. The challenge with us does not come from the fact that people are difficult to bring to salvation, that backsliders are difficult to reclaim, or that there is a barrier of callous indifference, but the challenge comes from the perspective of our own personal relationship with You, our Lord Jesus Christ— “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” (Matthew 9:28).Lord, you unwaveringly asks us that question, and it confronts us in every individual situation we encounter. Lord, teach us more to trust in what You have said. May we don’t abandoned the great supernatural position of limitless confidence in You, which is really Your only call for us. May we won’t depart from the methods prescribed by You. May we always follow you and become more dependent with You. May we have right relationship with You. Amen”
“All authority has been given to Me . . . . Gotherefore. . .” (Matthew 28:18-19).
